Hellen Namata

Hellen is a kind and intelligent young girl in Uganda who has experienced many struggles in her young life. A few years ago, her father abandoned her mother and their four children after having an affair with Hellen's mother's best friend. Now Hellen's mother struggles to balance caring for her young children and finding a steady job. Without a reliant source of income, Hellen and her siblings often go without meals. With the help of a sponsor, Hellen will have her stomach filled with nutritious meals, her mind engaged in new school subjects, her body healed with medical care, and her heart opened as she learns about the love of a heavenly father who will never abandon her. Hellen dreams of one day becoming a doctor to help others, but right now she enjoys playing with dolls and reading.
