Disaster Relief
In more recent history, the country of Myanmar (Burma) was devastated in May of 2008 by Cyclone Nargis, with estimates of up to 130,000 dead and many more losing everything they had. AMG had the advantage of already having ministry contacts in the country, with permissions already in place, and was able to start providing emergency assistance almost immediately.
Closer to home, when Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast in August of 2005, AMG was “on the ground” as soon as possible, focusing on key relationships the Lord had given us to help meet long-term needs in Louisiana and Alabama. In May of 2011, after a series of tornadoes swept across the Southeast, AMG partnered with two local churches to help support disaster relief efforts right on our own doorstep, in North Georgia and Southeast Tennessee.
Contributions to AMG's Disaster Relief Fund provide assistance such as food, water, medicine, shelter and other necessities in times of critical need. Please help us continue to respond to these needs and to show the love of Christ to people who need help. |
Advance with compassion the command of Christ to evangelize and make disciples around the world through national workers and in partnership with like-minded Christians
