A Message from Dr. Zodhiates
“My dear sister: “Thank you for your wonderful letter of September 30, and the two verses that you quoted for me, Romans 12:1, 12. Thank you for telling me what I, and my ministry, have meant to you on the occasion of my announcement that I am retiring from my long ministry with AMG as president and the assignment of the presidency of AMG to my son-in-law, Paul Jenks. The Lord has blessed both you and me with long years of life and I am so grateful. “Your expression of esteem of my ministry for a long time is deeply appreciated, and the glory I give to God for giving me the privilege of serving Him faithfully for such a long time. But, the body, as my body is the corruptible and He is incorruptible, must be recognized as one of my weaknesses and this incorruptibility is approaching its reality. Therefore I have to make as adequate preparations as I am able to for the continuation of the ministry that I have faithfully tried to carry through the years. I have esteemed my son-in-law as the man whom the Lord put in my heart as adequately being able to carry on this ministry faithfully for the glory of God. “Paul proved himself a true servant of God in the years that he served God in the Buddhist country of Thailand. I believe I have correctly discerned him as being capable of carrying on this ministry faithfully, and I personally, along with my other leading coworkers on the Board of Trustees, have assigned this responsibility to him. And I trust God that he will prove as faithful as I have been for the glory of God in carrying on this ministry…. “May the Lord bless you for your kind words and I want them to be used for the glory of God and His alone.” Spiros Zodhiates |
