Vacation Bible School in Ghana
AMG’s ministry in Ghana is growing BY LEAPS AND BOUNDS!

Ohene Kumi directs AMG’s ministry in Ghana. One of Ohene’s most effective efforts has been a five-day Vacation Bible School program during the school break in August. Last year, 3,500 children attended, and 441 made decisions to surrender their lives to Christ!

An even greater number of children is expected this year as Ohene will lead VBS sessions during both the April and August school breaks. These VBS programs are held right in the public school buildings. Ohene writes all of the VBS materials himself.

In addition to his VBS ministry, Ohene Kumi also teaches at the All Africa Bible College in Accra, the capital city of Ghana, and oversees twice-a-year leadership training seminars for pastors and Christian workers.

Pastor Kumi received training in business and worked in business fields until the Lord called him into the ministry. Then he received advanced Bible training and earned a B.A. degree in Missions and Evangelism from Blueprint Bible Institute in Florida. He pastored a large church in Ghana’s capital city and started three smaller churches in outlying villages. He is presently earning a Master’s degree by correspondence from Master’s School of Divinity in Evansville, Indiana.

Ohene provides leadership for AMG ministries in Ghana under the oversight of the Board of Directors of AMG Ghana.  All board members are Ghanans. One bedroom of Ohene’s three-bedroom small apartment constitutes the “office” of AMG Ghana. VBS materials are stocked on the small front porch. He has no car and his family has no medical insurance. His colleague in ministry – Kenneth, receives no financial support.

We invite you to pray for AMG’s ministries in Ghana, to join us in bringing the following ministry needs before the Lord:
