Newspaper Evangelism is an effective way to reach many with the Gospel message

The most far-reaching ministry of AMG is newspaper evangelism. By placing gospel messages as paid advertisements in local newspapers around the world, we are able to give the good news of the gospel to hundreds of thousands of people who may have no other opportunity to learn about Christ.

In some countries, we are able to boldly present the gospel and ask readers to respond if they want to know more. In other countries, where such ads would not be allowed, we often place a more general message such as: "Would you like to know real peace?" or "Are you lonely? Let us tell you about a friend who will never leave you."

We send those who respond to these ads a Bible and Bible Correspondence Courses. We encourage respondents to begin attending church and to continue to study the Bible.

It is our desire to make contact with people through the gospel ads, to develop a personal relationship through correspondence, then to win them to Christ through Bible study and one-on-one evangelism.

Newspaper evangelism is a ministry approach which God has richly blessed. AMG has been using ads in Greek language newspapers and magazines since the 1950s. And since the mid-1970s, men and women of many nationalities have been learning the good news of Jesus Christ by reading about it in their own newspaper.

Not only is this ministry far-reaching, it is also cost effective. Most newspapers and magazines are read thoroughly, enjoy wide distribution, and each issue is read by many. A single ad in a large newspaper or magazine can be read by thousands of people.

People are the same everywhere. They all occasionally suffer from loneliness, anger, fear, and grief. In countries where the love of Christ is not known, these hurting people need a friend who will guide them to Christ and comfort them and give eternal hope. This is the goal of newspaper evangelism and the follow-up ministry.

The cost of placing an ad in a newspaper or magazine varies from country to country. Any donation given to this ministry will reach lost people with the gospel message.
