Touching the Lives of Children

Halima Nakimuli is a child in Uganda who receives help through an AMG childcare center and an American sponsor. She is one of thousands of boys and girls who receive many benefits at an AMG childcare center because of a sponsor who is willing to give $28 a month to provide for her care and to make her feel very special.

Through AMG childcare projects, children receive good food, an education, and an introduction to the Lord Jesus Christ. It is amazing to see the impact that sponsorships have on children’s lives as we read the letters they send to their sponsors.  One very touching letter comes from Halima, whose life has been transformed for eternity. She writes to her sponsor:

I send my greetings and love to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I thank you for paying my school fees. I thank you for the good gift of life He has given me.

I asked Jesus in my life in July this year at the AMG center after hearing God’s Word, that I should love God with all my heart. I come from a Muslim family and they don’t believe that I gave my life to Jesus, but I pray that some day they will also come to acknowledge Him as Lord and Savior.

Praise the Lord for the transformation of Halima’s life! She is one of thousands. The AMG childcare program has an impact on Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist and other communities in many countries. Please pray for ­the boys and girls under AMG’s care around the world.

Also pray for children under our care who do not have a regular sponsor. It may be because the sponsor is no longer financially able to support the child, or because a sponsor has not yet been found. But we  cannot turn them away. That’s why each October and April we try to raise funds to pay for the food that we are giving to children that we are caring for, but who do not have a regular sponsor.

The basic staple in many countries in which we minister is rice. A ton costs $550 and can feed 165 children once a day for an entire month. For $55 we can buy 200 pounds that will feed 70 children a meal of rice each day for an entire week.

There are many children who need a sponsor. Will you please prayerfully consider sponsoring one or more needy boys or girls, or if you are unable to do so, would you consider providing a special gift for children who do not have a regular sponsor? You will be making an investment in a life that will pay off in this life and in eternity.
