Reaching Villages In India With the Gospel
AMG India has been ministering, primarily in the Andhra Pradesh region, for more than 40 years now. With the help of a number of partner organizations, AMG India ministers to more than 100,000 people each month, including destitute children, leprosy sufferers, and others in need. Reaching the large population and the thousands of villages in India is a difficult challenge. In addition to childcare and leprosy care, AMG utilizes Gospel ads in newspapers and magazines, as well as national workers to share the Good News. Earlier this year, in the Darsi area, AMG workers drove a van over the course of the week to travel to remote villages, distribute New Testaments and Christian literature, preach the Word of God in public as well as visiting houses and engaging in personal evangelism. In one village, people rushed to see what was happening as they heard singing in the market square. Our national workers used the Christian songs as an introduction to a stirring message, and a number of people responded by asking Jesus in their hearts as their Lord and Savior. Other national workers traveled to a number of villages where hundreds attended the meetings that were held. A total of 48 villages were reached and 81 individuals came to know Christ as Savior. Our national workers also engaged in a youth outreach to older high school students. The goal was to lead them to Christ and help them share their testimony with their families and others in the community. It was a very blessed ministry and many lives were touched.
God is truly using our national workers in India and elsewhere. These faithful men and women faithfully serve the Lord at a fraction of the cost of a foreign missionary. But more sponsors are needed. Please prayerfully consider supporting a national worker with a monthly sponsorship of $50.
