Missionary Internships
Mission Crossings - internships from one month to two years

Purpose

Short-Term Interns serve the Lord in support of AMG Missionaries and National Staff to help accomplish AMG’s Mission Statement, which is to, “Advance with compassion the command of Christ, to evangelize and make disciples around the world through national leaders engaged in life-changing transformation and in partnership with like-minded Christians”

Length of Service

A Mission Crossings Intern is someone who serves for at least one month and as long as two years with AMG.

Terms of Service

1. All Intern applicants and service will be approved and coordinated through AMG’s Mission’s Office in Chattanooga, TN.
2. All Intern applicants who intend to work at an AMG project or with or through an AMG Missionary or National Worker must have:
   1. A Plan of Service agreed to by three parties; 1) AMG International, 2) The Intern and 3) The Host Missionary. This will outline WHAT the intern is going to do, WHEN the activity is expected to begin and end, and what the Interns EXPENSES are expected to be.
   2. Signed Application and Waiver and Release Form
   3. Emergency insurance coverage obtained by AMG for the Intern.
   4. A face-to-face meeting with an AMG Missions Staff Member before acceptance as an AMG Crossings Intern.
3. All funds for Intern expenses should be received by AMG International in Chattanooga, TN prior to the Intern’s arrival on the field unless other arrangements have been made, (i.e. receipt of payment on the field or monthly receipts at the Home Office, etc).

Initial Inquiry
If you sense a clear call from God to missionary service, and after looking through our website, you feel that AMG is the agency for you, please complete and submit a Preliminary Questionnaire. This is not a formal application but an opportunity for AMG to access your readiness for a missionary career.

Formal Application
After reviewing the information from your preliminary questionnaire, if the results are favorable, you will receive a formal application which contains a more detailed section on your doctrinal beliefs. You will be asked for your testimony, your practical experience, your call to missionary service, and biographical information. If both AMG and your sending church approve, AMG’s Missionary Personnel Coordinator will be in touch with you regarding your next steps.
