AMG Mission Crossings and Mission Journeys Questionnaire Statement of Faith and Doctrine We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament as inspired by God and inerrant in the original writings and that they are the supreme and final authority in faith and life. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary and is true God and true man. We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also that spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood. We believe in the bodily resurrection of our crucified Lord, His ascension into heaven and His presence there for us as High Priest and Advocate. We believe in that “blessed hope” – the personal and victorious return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We believe that all who receive by repentance and faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit, and become children of God. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved and the everlasting punishment of the lost.
Matters of Finance and Property Support of missionaries and representatives: 1) Candidates offering themselves for missionary service or to represent AMG International must do so in the confidence that their dependence is upon the Lord for the supply of all that is necessary for the support of their ministry. 2) AMG International from time to time approves a standard of support for the ministry of missionaries and representatives. This includes remuneration for missionary services and service support to provide such things as round-trip transportation, medical aid, service and extension, housing, and ministry on the field. Anticipated out-going expenses for necessary outfit, initial transportation to the field, language study, and other special needs are also set forth. While such standard is approved by AMG International, no guarantee of remuneration at this standard or of reimbursement for expenses incurred is made or implied except as adequate contributions designated for such purposes are received. 3) Candidates are expected to secure promises for support of AMG International for their ministry in full before reporting for duty, and to have raised for AMG International the necessary outgoing expense money for transportation, housing, language study, etc. In this they shall have the greatest possible cooperation of AMG International. The experience of many years has proved that the Lord makes provision for His work. 4) Returning missionaries are expected to have secured promises for the support of AMG International for their ministry in full and to have raised for AMG International other outgoing expense money before proceeding to the field. 5) Should the support of AMG International for the ministry of any missionary or representative decline below the standard set for that ministry, he shall seek diligently, in dependence upon God, to secure replacement of such support. In this effort he will have the cooperation of AMG International. 6) Financial arrangements for missionaries on furlough are cared for by the home administration and are based on a standard of support determined from time to time by AMG International. 7) Payments in consideration of the service of the missionaries shall be made, in the case of families, to the husband as the head of the household.
