Share Christ's Love at Christmas

Every Christmas there was that one present under the tree. The shape and size, just perfect; the weight, just right. That rattling you heard while shaking the gift closed the deal. It just HAD to be the Number 1 thing on your Christmas list. The anticipation would build as Christmas day slowly crept up. Finally, Christmas day would arrive, and in a flurry of arms, paper, ribbon, and bows the gift would be revealed. Pure joy flooded over you as you stared in disbelief. Even though it was right there in your hands, you couldn’t believe it was true. You really got it! Do you remember that feeling?

Now imagine that you have no anticipation of receiving anything this Christmas. You and your family are struggling to meet daily needs. Christmas gifts are out of the question. But then you learn that this year will be different. This year you will receive a special gift, a Bundle of Love. The day finally arrives, and as you open your Bundle of Love, you find a new school uniform, a new backpack, a toy, and your very own copy of the Bible. You’ve never had anything new in your life and now you’ve just opened a bag full of new things--just for you. Pure joy floods over you as you stare in disbelief. Even though it’s right there in your hands, you can’t believe it’s true. You really got all this!

AMG International helps make this joy a reality for many children every Christmas with its Bundles of Love project.

What is a Bundle of Love?

“It is a package that tangibly expresses the love of Jesus to those who most greatly need it. The contents of each Bundle of Love vary depending on where the child lives, but they are always things that will benefit the little one greatly in the coming year. Each Bundle of Love may contain a pair of pants or a skirt, a sweater or shirt, a pair of shoes, a blanket, a toy if possible, or whatever else the child may need. If he or she does not already have a copy of the Scriptures, one is included as well.”

For most children of third world countries, uniforms are a necessity to attend school. Many sponsored children receive their uniforms through Bundles of Love. Through these gifts many children are given the opportunity to receive an education that they otherwise would not receive. With an education comes the chance at a better life for many. A Bundle of Love package contains more than shoes, pants, and blankets. A Bundle of Love is stuffed full of joy and hope. Is there any better Christmas gift that you could give?

During the Bundles of Love celebrations, the gospel is very clearly presented. In some places, even government officials attend and hear about Jesus through song, skits by the children, and presentations by our coworkers.

Bundles of love are not only for the children. AMG also distributes Bundles of Love to national workers, church planters and national staff. Each resident of AMG's Valley of Love, a community of individuals suffering with leprosy, also receives a Bundle of Love.

It takes only $20 to make one Bundle of Love possible, and to bring tremendous joy and encouragement to someone in need. All gifts are purchased locally to eliminate any transportation cost, allowing all funds to go directly for the purchase of gifts. As the Lord provides, and in cooperation with our partner agencies, AMG will be distributing Bundles of Love this coming holiday season to children, national workers and leprosy sufferers. Please pray that the Lord will provide the necessary resources and that many hearts will be touched through this wonderful outreach this Christmas season.
