Paul Jenks
President and CEO of AMG International

Paul JenksPaul Jenks was born in 1951 and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a teenager, he was active in his church and student leader for a local Youth for Christ outreach. He received a Bachelor’s degree from Taylor University in Indiana, and a Master of Science degree from the University of Detroit. He has also completed seminary courses in Christian education from Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary.

In 1981 he and his family moved to Bangkok, Thailand, to serve with AMG International as Thailand coordinator. Initially, he worked primarily with Laotian refugees in several refugee camps. Over the years, the focus of the work shifted more toward the Thai people as he initiated the establishment of Christian childcare centers and schools as well as expanded the newspaper evangelism endeavors.

In 1993, Mr. Jenks was named AMG’s Vice President of Asian Outreach as his responsibilities among Asian countries broadened. Since that time, he has taken frequent trips to India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and the Philippines overseeing AMG’s ministries in those countries.

After serving for fifteen years as a missionary in Thailand, in July 1996 he returned to  Chattanooga, Tennessee, to serve as Chief Executive Officer of AMG International. He continues to have a special burden and heart for missions, especially in Asia. In August, 2005, the Board of Trustees elected him as the President of AMG International.

He is married to Lois, also a graduate of Taylor University and the daughter of Dr. Spiros Zodhiates. They have three adult children, Peter, Melissa, and Erica Jenks Henry, and two granddaughters.
