National Workers: God’s Grace is Unfathomable
January 26th, 2012

Pastor Teñoso, Church Planting Ministry Coordinator in the Philippines, is starting a new church planting project in the urban poor area in Talisay City Cebu. He invited his mentor Pastor Paño to join efforts on the island of Cebu. To augment this new church planting project, they conducted an Evangelistic Youth Camp held May 2011 for 45 young people ages 13 to 28.

Youth who attended the camp were all unbelievers, uneducated and living in a nearby urban poor community in Talisay City. They came from different backgrounds with various needs and emotional hang-ups. Many held strong feelings of hatred, frustrations and hopelessness. They admitted drug addiction and slavery to different vices. Such miserable circumstances were attributed to the broken relationship within families.

By the last day, many could testify the awesome things the Lord had done in their lives during camp. They shared their personal struggles and challenges. Thanksgiving prevailed in their hearts and tears of joy streamed down their faces. Miles from where they were in the beginning, camp leaders could sense the happiness, hope and faith of these precious youth. Truly God’s grace is unfathomable.

As of this time, camp leaders reported that there were at least 35 young people out of 40 who received Jesus Christ in the camp. Six months later, they actively participate in their weekly cell groups and show signs of growth.

Thank you for all your partnership and support. Your generosity really touched the lives of many Filipinos and really makes a difference for God. We are praying that through your partnership we are able to touch other lives next summer through evangelistic camps.
