National Workers: God's Grace on Us
February 21st, 2012

Joko, an AMG National Worker, shares how the Lord has worked in his life. Here is his testimony of how God shows grace.

National Worker in Indonesia

“All of what happened is not by accident. My knowledge about Christ started when I was seven years old. In the beginning my family was extreme opposite to all about Christianity. For us, Christianity was a forbidden religious, but God had a beautiful plan. He called me and my family to become His followers. It is really an amazing story of grace for my family.

It all began when a servant of God came to our neighborhood. He invited us to Sunday school. I was afraid to join because my parents would be angry with me. Yet, I was eager to attend and decided to join secretly. For me, it was fun to sing and feel joy together in a friendly environment.

Finally, my family realized that I attended classes with the Christians. However, my family began to hear words of truth. They could not understand: Why do the Christians not pay others back for all bad things done to them? They love despite having received offenses.'

In 1990, my family received the Lord Jesus as our personal God. We continued to study the Bible. In 1998, we were baptized. All this happened only by the mercy of God poured on us.”

Joko finished his seminary degree four years ago. He was sent to proclaim the Word of God in Indonesia. Today, he serves as a pastor of a small church.  He desires to win many people for God in the future.

National Workers: Good to Hear from You!
January 24th, 2012

With much joy and trust in the Lord, an AMG National Worker in Indonesia shares his heart with his sponsor.

“Glory to the Lord. He is our shepherd who cares for us. Thank you for supporting me through AMG ministry. I believe that you are still in good health because of our Lord Jesus.

Every morning we start our day in the office with a short devotion. My main work is translating the Pulpit Helps magazine of AMG into our language. I also broadcast in eight radio stations. The people are helped via radio counseling. Then there are newspaper evangelism advertisements in four newspapers. We correspond with the readers who want to know more Jesus Christ.

Also, we are distributing evangelist video ministry to the church members and non Christians in three villages.

I am a pastor; our church member is about 100 to 120 members. Every week, there are about 80 to 85 members who attend our church. We are reaching our neighbors who are Moslems. Please pray for me, my ministry, my wife and our children.

Also pray for my country. There are many natural disasters in our country, such as tsunami and flooding, which kill hundreds and thousands people.

Please pray for our ministry and for the people of Indonesia."
